Rise & Lead Teen Mentoring (For School)

A school-based mentoring, leadership, and social-emotional learning program for teens.

Currently piloting at Marina High School, California.

Program Overview

Rise & Lead is L.I.F.E University’s teen mentoring and leadership program designed to be implemented on school campuses. The program combines biweekly one-to-one mentoring, monthly group workshops, and a student-led capstone project to help teens build confidence, social-emotional skills, and a clear vision for their future. Schools partner with us to bring trained mentors, a structured curriculum, and impact tracking into the school day.

Who This Program Is For

Rise & Lead is designed for:

  • Middle and high schools that want to strengthen social-emotional learning, leadership, and student well-being.

  • Campuses serving underserved or historically marginalized students who would benefit from additional adult support

  • School teams looking for a structured mentoring model that fits into the existing bell schedule and student support services

Student Outcomes

Rise & Lead supports students in developing:

  • Self-awareness and emotional literacy – understanding and managing their emotions in healthy ways

  • Confidence and identity – knowing their strengths, values, and stories

  • Communication and boundaries – expressing themselves clearly and respectfully

  • Vision and goal setting – creating realistic plans for school, college, and career

4. Capstone & Celebration

Each student (or small group) completes a capstone project or presentation that contributes something meaningful to the school community.

Marina High School Pilot

Marina High School is the launch site for Rise & Lead. Together, we are running a semester-based mentoring and leadership cohort, offering biweekly 1:1 mentoring and monthly workshops on campus, supporting students to design meaningful capstone projects, and collecting feedback and outcome data to refine the model before expanding to other schools.
